Born and raised in South Dakota, I have been living and studying in Washington, D.C. over the past three years.
English major at the University of the District of Columbia
Hello and welcome to the boring page where I drone on about myself. Though a South Dakotan by birth, I have always had a passion for exploration and cities (hence my current residence in DC). I am a voracious reader at times, especially when something has caught my attention. Some of the greatest authors that I have ever read are Gabriel Garcia Marquez, John Steinbeck and Cormac McCarthy. I love the game of basketball passionately; I am now in the second year of my NBA League Pass subscription, and have owned countless jerseys in my lifetime. In the next year, I hope to graduate with my degree in English and begin teaching in a high school classroom. I believe the best qualities a teacher can have are empathy and compassion (in addition to a very firm grasp on the subject material!) as kids are often dealing with much more than they let on.
